Personal Pieces: Everything happens for a reason.

Don’t judge me for the title, but I’ve been wondering about life for a while now. A lot of crazy things have been happening in my life and I’ve tried to think why, but then I realised why things happen.

Everything does happen for a reason.

I try to live every day as if it will really be my last. I’ve learned that I will start saying ‘yes’ to things that make me feel uncomfortable, and to step out of my comfort zone.

You really never know what life has planned for you.

I’ve realised that life is just this great and unorganised mess in front of us, and we can’t control it. You, honestly, can lay out your life plan for me, but I still don’t believe you have it together.

No one knows what is around the corner.

I guess I’m trying to say that if you recently went through a break up, you’re having a hard time or you got a bad grade… there is something better always around the corner.

It probably won’t slap you in the face but it will be something that will help. Maybe it will be something life changing or something that just makes every day better.

Maybe someone new will come into your life, you’ll get a new job, you’ll find a new friend… something will happen.

I think I wrote this just to say that whatever is going on now, you’ll be okay and you’ll come out of the other end stronger.

As a good friend once wrote to me…

‘Sometimes when things are falling apart, they may actually be falling into place’,

Life may look shit now, but trust me… everything happens, and there is normally a reason.

There are better things planned for you, just hold on.
