I have tried to forget you,

For so long now.

The shadow of you in everywhere I go,

Is becoming too much.

I have tried to go on without you,

But life doesn’t feel the same,

Because you were supposed to be in it.

No matter how many times,

I tell myself I’m done,

I realise that I am not,

I just want you to come back.

But I know you won’t,

And that’s what hurts the most.
