Welcome the FierceFeminist…

Hello my lovely followers!

This is quite a big shock to my system to see feminist as my new blog name. However, it is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while. I have been a feminist for as long as I can remember, and it is something I have always believed in. A recent change in my life has led me back to feminism and led me to continue to evaluate my beliefs. You can read a life update here.

So, why the FierceFeminist?

I have to accept that I can’t spend my life casually dropping into conversation that I’m a feminist or wait for people to find it out. I have to own my feminism and I have to be okay with that.

I believe that my feminism is something that drives me and I have always had a fire in me, but I’ve only recently acknowledged that part of me. I am never one to let a sexist comment slide or give into typical stereotypes. I constantly challenge those around me and carefully select who I keep in my life. I am fairly fierce in my own way, and much of what some people would call a ‘bitch’, but I believe it is something I am immensely proud of. I refuse to back down from an argument and I am constantly pushing myself to be the best I can be.

2018 is going to be a year where I challenge myself to new things, I say yes when I want something, and no when I hate what is in front of me. I am going to stand my ground more, I am going to tell someone when they look nice. I am not going to fear what people think of me, I am over that.

I think the FierceFeminist is a perfect way recapture why I started blogging in the first place. I wanted to share stories, change opinions with what I wrote and just have fun with it. RachelTalks had no particular subject that I stuck with and some things felt surely out of place on this blog.

The FierceFeminist is something I can completely identify with. It is something I am proud to reveal to you today. Periods, sex and everything else will be discussed on this blog and I won’t be holding back.

So, only time will tell how this new blog will do, but I’m ready for a new journey!
